Own-label decorative stirrups
Custom Decorative Western Stirrups
Create a Western stirrup that carries your brand's design while keeping the frame and fender fit you need. We manufacture from customer drawings and support your logo. Choose the functional base, map the artwork to its actual surfaces and compare a physical finish sample. Your team can then approve the appearance without confusing it with a structural revision.

Choose the Frame Before the Decoration
Start with a frame you want to retain, then develop its visual identity. Relia manufactures its own stirrups and accepts your drawings and logo. We review the frame, fender interface, tread and decorated areas together, with materials, dimensions, appearance and assembly fit checked for the selected sample.
Choose the surface direction on a complete frame. The 221261L provides a plain-band option; 22126EB and 221261EL provide engraved-band directions. The 22173AL and 22173ALE forms offer another plain-and-decorated comparison. Select the base geometry first so the proposed artwork change remains clear.

Lock the Working Interfaces Before the Artwork
The top connection, usable tread and inner frame should stay with the approved base. A design change on an outer face should not silently become a geometry change elsewhere. Keep structural and decorative revisions as separate fields in the sample brief.
Complete frame code and measured geometry.
Top connection, tread and required clearances.
Artwork file, finish and permitted design area.
Map the Design onto the Actual Surface
A flat artwork file needs a location, scale and orientation on the stirrup. Curves and transitions can change how a pattern reads. Mark the visible panel and the interfaces it should avoid, then compare the full-size design on the actual sample.
| Field | Specify | Compare on the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Outer band or named panel | Actual visible design area |
| Scale | Artwork size and reference points | Pattern proportions on the curve |
| Orientation | Front, side and paired arrangement | Consistent appearance across the set |
| Boundaries | Top, tread and attachment zones | Clean separation from working interfaces |
Use Process Samples to Name the Appearance
An Engraving/Black or Sculpture/Nude label is a starting description, not a complete process specification. Ask the selected sample to show the accepted method and finish. The actual route may involve decorative cutting, applied trim or another treatment; name the method that belongs to that version.

Keep the Sequence Clear from Base to Final Assembly
We first retain the selected structural base and identify the surfaces intended for decorative work. The making route uses the forming, machining or joining operations that construction needs, followed by the chosen decorative treatment, polishing, surface finish and assembly. The artwork method and logo area are reviewed for that actual component.
We verify materials and dimensions, inspect appearance and check assembly fit and moving parts where present. Compare the motif placement, physical finish and accessible edges alongside the unchanged top connection and tread. Keep the artwork and structural revisions separate but linked, so a visual update does not quietly become a different frame.
- Prepare the base
Confirm the selected structure and finish-ready surfaces.
- Apply the design
Use the accepted artwork and actual decorative route.
- Review appearance
Compare detail, colour and surface character.
- Assemble and retain
Review the complete sample and preserve its references.
Approve the Physical Finish and Artwork Together
Screen colour alone is not a reliable substitute for the physical sample. Keep the artwork revision, actual finish sample and complete model in one approval record. That makes it easier to review a later colour change without losing the structural base.
For a hand-engraved stirrup panel, follow our decorative sample review to connect the visible lines and borders with the complete frame you approve.
| Reference | Retain | Controls |
|---|---|---|
| Base model | Code and drawing revision | Structural identity |
| Artwork | File revision and scale | Pattern identity |
| Finish | Physical appearance sample | Colour, sheen and texture |
| Complete pair | Accepted supplied contents | Paired appearance and assembly |
Carry the Design into the Rest of the Range
Use the Western profile guide for the base, the fender guide for the top interface and the coordinated-range guide when a shared style extends to bits and spurs. Each product still keeps its own construction and approval reference.
