For private-label Western collections
Decorative Western Horse Bits for Private-Label Collections
Create a Western-bit collection with a recognizable brand style and a clearly defined functional base. We manufacture from customer drawings and support your logo. Start with the shank and mouthpiece you want to retain, then map the motif, trim and finish onto that product. A physical sample lets your team review the appearance while keeping structural changes under control.

Keep the Functional Base Under the Design
Keep your visual identity connected to a complete product. Relia manufactures its own Western bits and supports your drawings and logo. We review the chosen mouthpiece, shank, attachment points and decoration together, with material, dimensional, appearance and assembly checks tied to the version your brand approves.
Choose the complete functional base before adapting the artwork. The 2634SI-FCT-M01 combines 6¾-inch shanks with a Sweet Iron single-jointed mouth; 10789LB-FD2-133WCR combines 7-inch shanks with a cricket-port mouth. A shared floral direction can be developed separately for those different assemblies.

Fit the Motif to the Actual Cheek Shape
Artwork needs a usable boundary, not only an attractive flat image. Mark the decorative area around openings, mouthpiece junctions and attachment points. Keep left and right treatment identifiable where the design is asymmetric. Any change to the underlying cheek geometry should be reviewed separately from an artwork revision.

Describe Trim by Location and Material
The model includes copper floral trim, copper bars and German Silver floral treatments on different models. Keep the exact description with the relevant reference. A bright silver-looking area does not establish precious-silver content, and a copper-coloured finish does not by itself identify a copper component.

Connect Finishing to the Decorative Detail
Keep the decorative boundary and its connection to the base clear through production. We arrange the structural operations appropriate to the chosen Western-bit design, followed by the agreed decorative treatment, polishing, surface finish and assembly. The motif placement and attachment details stay with that model and its accepted sample.
We check materials, dimensions and appearance, as well as moving parts and assembly fit. Compare the finished trim placement, accessible edges and logo appearance with the same sample as the shank and mouthpiece. Keep the physical finish reference beside the artwork revision so a decorative update stays distinct from a changed functional assembly.
For a hand-engraved cheek design, explore our artisan engraving process before setting the motif boundaries on your chosen bit.
| Area | Keep in the acceptance discussion |
|---|---|
| Base geometry | Approved cheek, mouthpiece and attachment positions |
| Trim placement | Motif boundary, alignment and attachment detail |
| Surface finish | Agreed appearance under consistent viewing conditions |
| Final assembly | Accessible edges, connections and complete inventory |
Approve Appearance under Consistent Light
Compare the physical finish samples under the same light and from the same viewing positions. Review the dark base, contrasting trim and decorated edges on the whole bit as well as in close detail. Keep the accepted appearance beside the artwork revision so a later colour or trim change can be discussed against the same reference.

Separate Artwork Changes from Product Changes
A new motif is an artwork revision. A different mouthpiece, shank junction or ring position is a product revision. Keep those changes separate so a design update cannot quietly alter the functional base. This is especially useful when a collection is repeated across several order cycles.
| Record | Contains | Triggers review |
|---|---|---|
| Base product | Geometry, construction, dimensions and components | A change to the complete assembly |
| Decoration | Artwork, material description, placement and finish | A change to motif or appearance |
| Accepted sample | The approved combination of both records | Any change affecting the delivered version |
Keep a Complete Product Behind the Collection Image
A collection needs more than a close-up of attractive trim. Keep a whole-product view with the mouthpiece, shanks and attachments visible so buyers can recognize the actual configuration. The current BT0801 raised-centre reference is a separate functional starting point; it is not automatically the same base as a decorated model.

Coordinate Other Categories after Each Base Is Fixed
For a wider Western line, use the coordinated bits, spurs and stirrups guide after each product category has its own accepted geometry. The motif can be related without forcing identical dimensions or attachment details across different products. Use the decorated spur guide for the spur-specific decisions.
Approved shank and mouthpiece with its own decorative boundary.
Approved band, shank and rowel with a separate motif layout.
Approved neck, tread and frame before decorative coordination.
Start a Decorative Bit Sample Discussion
Send the base Western-bit code and the motif or trim direction you want to develop. Include reference artwork and your preferred finish, and we can discuss a sample that keeps decoration and functional geometry clearly connected.
We will review the model and configuration with you before a quotation is agreed. Include quantities and destination so sample, packing and delivery terms can be considered together.
