Saddle and fender matching

Western Stirrup Fit for Existing Fenders

Choose Western stirrups around the finished fender your saddle already uses. We manufacture stirrups and can review the upper connection with the leather's width, thickness, folds and fitting route. Send the fender or its marked section with a complete frame reference. A physical sample lets your team check the working space before choosing replacements or extending a saddle collection.

Keep Neck and Tread References with Their Codes

Keep the finished leather section in the sample discussion. Relia manufactures its own stirrups and supports your drawings and logo. Our dimensional and assembly-fit checks follow the selected upper interface and complete frame, so a familiar neck label does not replace the fender fit you need.

Start with the selected upper interface, then measure the space your leather will occupy. The 22173AL and 22173ALE have 3-inch neck and 2-inch tread references. Review ST3103 and ST3107 on their own sample dimensions rather than transfer those measurements between different frames.

Capture the Finished Leather Section

Measure the fender where it actually passes through the connection. Include folded material, seams, edge finishing and any covering. A flat strip measurement can miss the bulk of the completed part.

Separate the Entry from Internal Clearance

The visible entry, internal space and neck direction can create different constraints. Mark them separately on the stirrup drawing. Keep the fender’s route in view so the comparison reflects the completed connection.

Entry

Where the finished fender enters the assembly.

Internal space

The usable room around the actual leather section.

Direction

How the top geometry aligns with the intended saddle arrangement.

Review the Contact Surfaces Close Up

The upper connection should be reviewed at its finished edges and actual contact areas. Covering or an insert can change the available space. Compare the completed sample, rather than assuming the unfinished frame provides the final clearance.

Follow the Top Interface Through Production

The upper interface stays in view through the model's selected forming and component-making route. Any required machining or connection work, polishing and surface treatment must retain the defined entry, internal space and orientation. Covering or inserts, where included, remain part of the completed connection rather than an afterthought.

Our material, dimensional, appearance and assembly-fit checks apply to the chosen configuration. Review the finished stirrup with the intended fender section, including folds, seams and its actual route. Keeping that installed reference with the drawing gives a later replacement or reorder a more precise basis than a neck label alone.

  1. Define the interface

Retain the fender and marked stirrup drawing.

  2. Complete the frame

Review top profile, openings and finished edges.

  3. Add relevant layers

Record inserts or covering at the interface.

  4. Review the assembly

Check the completed arrangement under its instructions.

Use One Fender to Compare Candidate Frames

Keep the fender fixed while comparing two complete stirrup models. Record the top geometry and actual installed views for each. If the fender also changes, give that combination its own line so a later reorder remains clear.

Retain the Complete Saddle Interface

Use ST3103 or ST3107 as a specific candidate rather than a generic Western fit claim. Keep the saddle version, fender reference, stirrup code and any top insert together. That record gives replacement and repeat orders a much clearer starting point.

Send the Finished Fender with the Stirrup Reference

Include the saddle or fender version, finished width and thickness, clear connection views and the candidate stirrup code. State whether the project is an exact replacement or a new interface and include the sample quantity.
