For slotted-cheek bit sourcing
Kimberwicke Horse Bits for Wholesale Range Selection
Build a Kimberwicke range with clear differences in cheek slots, mouthpiece and supplied components. We manufacture the complete bits and can review your preferred model with the bridle connections and size it needs. Start with one defined construction, then compare alternatives only where they serve a different customer request. This keeps quotations and repeat orders tied to the product you selected.

Identify Slots and Mouthpiece Separately
Make the slot arrangement and mouthpiece easy to compare. Relia produces its own slotted-cheek bits and checks materials, dimensions, appearance and assembled fit. We keep the chosen openings, centre and supplied components together, giving your team a complete Kimberwicke version to approve and replenish.
Relia’s current BT0916 reference shows slotted D-shaped cheeks, upper oval openings and an oval centre. The product range also lists jointed, low-port and medium-port Kimberwick references. Keep the cheek configuration and mouthpiece construction as separate fields so a familiar category name cannot hide a different centre or slot layout.
Outline, slots, upper opening and mouthpiece junction.
Joint or port geometry, dimensions and component materials.
Hooks, chain and all other agreed included parts.
Keep the Actual Openings on the Drawing
Show each slot and opening with its location, size and relationship to the mouthpiece. The connection drawing should describe the selected sample and intended strap routing. Do not substitute a generic slotted-cheek diagram for the actual version, or infer operating action from the outer D shape.
- Upper openingRecord bridle connection geometry.
- Cheek slotsMap the actual slot arrangement and usable space.
- Mouthpiece junctionLocate the connection and documented movement.
- Chain attachmentsInclude the agreed accessory connection points.
Keep Visible Appearance Separate from Material
The BT0916 photograph has yellow-gold-looking arms and centre beside silver-grey cheeks. These visible colours help identify the reference, but the composition belongs in a component-specific description. The same applies to the cylindrical bands pictured on BT0904: appearance alone does not establish copper content or rolling movement.
Compare the BT0904 slotted-cheek reference as a separate sample.

Compare Complete Mouthpiece Constructions
Use the full code when selecting from the product range. Reference 25718 lists a 125 mm snaffle-mouth description with hooks and chain; 25720 lists a 5-inch low-port mouth and 2½-inch Dees; 25718M lists a 125 mm medium-port mouth. These fields belong to their own models rather than a shared Kimberwicke size rule.
| Reference | Mouthpiece configuration | Assembly detail |
|---|---|---|
| 25718 | 125 mm snaffle mouth | Hooks and chain |
| 25720 | 5-inch low-port mouth | 2½-inch Dees; chain and hooks |
| 25718M | 125 mm medium-port mouth | Hooks and chain |
Locate the Nominal 135 mm Label
BT0916(135mm) is the complete current option label. Before using 135 mm on your retail specification, identify the measured feature, endpoints and measurement condition on the selected sample. Keep mouthpiece width, cheek dimensions and attachment spaces in separate fields. A code or label cannot resolve all of them.

Check Slots After Final Finishing
For the selected slotted cheek, forming and any required machining or joining establish the outline, openings and mouthpiece connection. Polishing and surface treatment complete the opening edges and visible surfaces before assembly. We choose the applicable operations for that construction rather than assuming every Kimberwicke follows an identical route.
Our checks cover materials, dimensions, appearance and moving parts or assembly fit. Put slot locations, usable opening dimensions, mouthpiece junctions and agreed chain/hook contents into the sample review. This connects the manufacturer's work to the actual configuration your team will quote and label, while keeping the nominal size label separate from its measured feature.
| Area | Agreed review item |
|---|---|
| Slots and upper opening | Location, usable dimensions and accessible edges |
| Mouthpiece junction | Actual connection geometry and movement |
| Hooks and chain | Complete inventory and attachment arrangement |
| Finished appearance | Accepted surface and component material descriptions |
Separate Similar Cheeks by the Centre Assembly
BT0904 shows a linked-looking mouthpiece, cylindrical bands and a hanging chain, while BT0916 shows an oval centre. Use these visible distinctions to identify the samples; establish actual materials and movement on the accepted version. Keep each complete product under its own SKU.
The material and construction guide explains why coloured parts need their own description.

Make the Sample and Quotation Match
Attach the selected product label, measured drawing and full included-parts list to the enquiry. Keep the model separate if you are comparing it with a store product. A review with the actual horse and bridle under qualified guidance remains necessary for fitting and use.

Start a Kimberwicke Bit Sample Discussion
Send the slotted-cheek reference, mouthpiece construction and nominal size label you want to review. Add the expected hooks-and-chain contents so we can discuss a complete Kimberwicke sample and quotation.
We will review the model and configuration with you before a quotation is agreed. Include quantities and destination so sample, packing and delivery terms can be considered together.
